Have you considered becoming a business professor or researcher? Join us to learn more about PhD programs and exciting careers in academia!
This session will include information on the Fox School’s PhD in Business Administration concentrations, as well as our PhD programs in Statistics and Decision Neuroscience, with opportunities to hear from PhD faculty, students, and staff.
In the Fox School’s PhD program, each concentration nominates select students to present their research in a school-wide forum, where they are given the opportunity to receive comments and awards based on their papers, posters or presentations. PhD students who have recently defended their dissertation proposals are also provided with the opportunity to present their research, and recent graduates of the PhD program may compete for the honor of the Best Dissertation award.
More information to be announced.
The Young Scholars Interdisciplinary Forum (YSIF) is a biannual event open to current Fox School faculty and PhD students for seed funding grants to undertake novel interdisciplinary research projects. The traditional YSIF seed funding grants in the amount of $500 to $5,000, with an annual amount of $50,000, will be available for proposal submission groups seeking small or medium outside funding grants.
The Office of Research, Doctoral Programs and Strategic Initiatives within the Fox School believes that these seed-funding grants encourage and support early stages of interdisciplinary collaborative research. Selection criteria for funding amounts are based on the particular needs of the research, as well as the proposal group’s plans for seeking additional funding sources – both from within Temple University and from outside sources. Future plans for conference presentations or submissions to specific journals will also be considered.
Join the doctoral programs office in celebrating the end of a successful fall semester as we head into winter break! Beverages and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
