Go Beyond Your Degree—Get Involved!
The Fox School of Business at Temple University does more than offer an academic curriculum—we offer students the chance to enjoy hands-on learning and real-world networking that can be just as beneficial as a degree.
Temple University Investment Association
The Temple University Investment Association (TUIA) strives to provide its members with hands on investment management experience. Its members will be taught to use financial software such as Bloomberg Professional and FactSet to conduct company research and valuation in order to make rational investment decisions. Senior members of TUIA offer educational modules throughout the semester to help new members learn the basics of investing. Additionally, TUIA hosts industry speakers to discuss macroeconomic issues, business developments, and career opportunities. TUIA also organizes social activities to create a unique networking environment for business-minded students.
After completing the assigned modules, TUIA members have the prerequisites to apply for the Fox Fund, and in turn, apply for the William C. Dunkelberg Owl Fund (The Owl Fund). In order to join the Owl Fund, you must be a member of TUIA.

Financial Management Association
The Temple Chapter of Financial Management Association International (FMA) provides members with finance knowledge and business acumen not available in the classroom. The group conducts Investments and Stock Trading workshops, community service activities, publishes a résumé book and newsletter, and prepares members for employment interviews.
The FMA secures guest speakers that students can learn from and interact with, including professionals and alumni in careers such as stockbrokerage, financial planning, real estate, banking, corporate finance and investment management. These professionals can assist future graduates with internships and employment opportunities. The group also enjoys trips to financial institutions such as the New York Stock Exchange, Bloomberg, Federal Reserve of Philadelphia, Vanguard, SEI and Prudential Financial. These valuable experiences can better equip students for a fruitful career and provide social interaction.
Based on outstanding accomplishments, FMA International has designated the Temple University group as a “Superior Chapter” for each of the past four years, placing them in the top 2% nationally. The faculty advisor has also been named a “Superior Faculty Advisor” for three years in a row.
We encourage you to come to a meeting or contact us to learn more about this student organization.
