Our student professional development program begins the day you start classes at Temple University's Fox School of Business and Management. This unique program, integrated throughout the curriculum, guides you from your freshman year through graduation and assists you in finding a rewarding job.
The Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) coordinates all activities that support your ultimate goal - choosing a meaningful and rewarding career.
Working in conjunction with our 20+ undergraduate student organizations, CSPD's professional staff will show you the best way to present your education, your experience and yourself to employers. A college degree and good grades alone do not guarantee your success after graduation. Enhance your Fox School education by participating in CSPD professional development activities now to make the most of your academic experience!

Off-Campus Recruiting / Job Posting System
Many employers are interested in hiring Fox students, but do not have the resources to conduct on-campus interviews. These employing organizations post their job openings on FoxNet, you apply to those that interest you and the resumes are sent directly to the employer. If the company is interested in scheduling an interview, they will contact you directly to make interview arrangements.

Student Consultations with a Professional Development Coach/Walk in Hours
CSPD staff members can assist with your professional development needs.
Whether you want your resume critiqued, are looking to gain experience
in your field, or have questions on preparing for that big job interview,
we can help! Stop by the Center in Alter Hall, room 134 to get started.
Workshops
Resume Development, Behavioral Event Interviewing, Job Search Strategies,
Dress-for-Success are just a few of the workshop topics.
Mock Interviews
Sharpen your interview skills by participating in this simulated interview
session. Corporate representatives or CSPD staff members will take you
through a complete interview and will provide valuable feedback on your
verbal (and non-verbal) communication.
On-Campus Recruiting (OCR)
Annually, hundreds of interviews take place in the CSPD. To be considered
for these internships and full-time interview opportunities, check with
the office to review requirements for participation.
Job Leads
Employers post employment opportunities for full-time, part time and internship
positions through FoxNet, our eRecruiting system. We recommend checking
FoxNet on a regular basis to access these exciting opportunities!
Special Events
Senior & Internship Receptions, Alumni Receptions, Leadership Boot
Camp, Open Houses and other events are coordinated by CSPD to provide
you with networking opportunities with employers. Please check with the
Center for upcoming events.
Student Professional Organization (SPO) Consulting
CSPD Staff partner with the various SPOs to develop a strategy for maximizing
your organization's and FSBM visibility within the academic and business
communities.
BA 100 "Professional Development Strategies"
A one-credit course designed to help you develop the basic professional
tools that you will need to find internships and permanent employment.
These basics are the career competencies and strategies that you will
be able to use for your working life as a professional, manager, executive,
or entrepreneur.
CSPD Blackboard Site
Stay informed and get involved by enrolling in the CSPD blackboard organization through TUPortal. Here you will have access to a variety of resources including company research links (eg. Hoovers & Vault), specialty internet job sites & programs as well as job fairs and networking events. To add CSPD to your Blackboard organizations follow these instructions:
1. Access TUPortal. Type in your username and password
2. Click on the Blackboard heading at the top
3. Click on the Organization tab on the left
4. Type in Center for Student Professional Development in the Search for Organization box
5. Fox Center for Student Professional Development will appear
6. Click on Enroll
7. Click submit and then OK
