Faculty

As a faculty member, your direct contact with the students is important to CSPD's mission.  Our goal is to complement the student's sound academic preparation by ensuring the development of professional development skills needed for finding meaningful internship and permanent employment.

We have provided the information below to assist you in encouraging undergraduate Fox students to take advantage of our professional development resources and services.

We thank you for your support and look forward to working with you!

Senior Reception Highlights!!!!

The September 18th Senior Reception was a huge success.  Seventy-one employers used this event to kick-off their 2008-09 recruitment season (this is a 13% increase over last fall).  More than 388 Fox graduating seniors participated.  Both employers and students had rave reviews about the day.

Here's what employers had to say...

“I was extremely impressed with the professional demeanor of the students and their knowledge of Comcast. The majority of them were very prepared to discuss Comcast with us and let us know that they know more about Comcast than just cable! I thought the venue was great and the “informal” cocktail reception approach made it a little less intimidating for the students. I was a great event!”

Comcast Corporation

The students definitely seem more prepared than other schools in regards to the position they wanted and what we offered, which is great. Overall, it was FANTASTIC! Thank you!”

Cigna

“As an employee, recruiting college grads I would never miss this event. Students are professional, prepared and this event always proves to be a good use of our recruiting time- we find great candidates”

Lincoln Financial Group

"Yesterday's Senior Reception was a huge success.  It was extremely well put together and needless to say, the presence and participation of Temple students was incredible."

Prudential Financial

"Fantastic event – thanks so much for the opportunities to meet so many quality students!  As I’ve said before, this is my favorite recruiting event!"

Goldenberg Rosenthal

“Solid, as always”

E& J Gallo Winery

Thank you to all Faculty who helped promote this wonderful networking opportunity to their students!

Here's what faculty said...

"I recently attended the Senior Reception and was quite impressed with the professionalism and preparedness of our Senior Accounting Majors.  The Reception provided our students with a formal yet somewhat relaxed setting to learn about the opportunities currently available to them within the accounting profession and corporate training programs.  Congratulations to the CSPD!"

Sheri Risler, Accounting Dept.

How can faculty connect with CSPD?

 Scheduling a classroom visit

CSPD staff are interested in coming to your classes to speak about our services as well as internship and job opportunities.  Please contact the CSPD director, Corinne Snell for more information.

Encouraging students to report their job offers

As you know, collecting data on our students’ postgraduate plans is important to the Fox School.  You can assist in this endeavor by encouraging your graduating seniors to report their job offer.  We are also interested in where our underclassmen are interning.

The data collected will be used to generate reports on the job market, hiring trends, salary information, career interests of our students/graduates, etc.  The purpose of these reports is to assist current students doing career research, to aid in the University rankings process and to attract prospective students by showing them the value of the Fox Business degree.

Please direct your students to 134 Alter Hall or to the link below:

How can my department (or an employer) advertise jobs or internships?

CSPD works with hundreds of employers in various industries to bring opportunities to Fox students.  Many of these employers are interested in visiting your classroom!  Additionally, you may have relationships with employers who would be interested in connecting with Fox students for internship and/or job opportunities.  Please contact the Associate Director for Coporate Relations, Megan Rimer-Panaccio for more information.
