Admissions for the MSFE program are accepted on a rolling basis. The Fox School encourages you to apply online.
Application Deadline for MSFE Candidates:
For full-time study beginning Fall 2012:
- First priority for scholarship consideration: January 31, 2012
- Domestic (US) Candidates: May 31, 2012
- International Candidates (where a visa is required): March 1, 2012*
- Late deadline: June 30, 2012
* NOTE: If you possess international credentials requiring evaluation, e.g., for any bachelor’s degree awarded outside of the United States, you must use the services of WES or ECE for your transcript evaluation in the application process if your application is submitted beyond the March 1 deadline. Please complete the Fox School’s online application and have your official university credentials sent to one of these two organizations, who will assess your transcript for its US equivalency.
For part-time study beginning Fall 2012:
Domestic (US) Candidates, Permanent Residents or H-1 Visa holders: May 31, 2012
(part-time study not available under an F-1 student visa)
MSFE Required Background
To be eligible for admission, you must have:
- A four-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- A strong record of achievement in quantitative coursework including multivariate calculus, linear algebra and advanced statistics and probability. See Background for MSFE.
- Prior or anticipated exposure in finance and computer programming. See Background for MSFE.
Work Experience: The Fox School does not require work experience for MS programs.
MSFE Application Requirements
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) General Test scores.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- A required essay on your Professional Plans and Goals: What particular past experiences or previous exposure prepared or motivated you to pursue an MSFE degree? How you would expect to change over the course of the program? What personal and professional values and skills do you hope to acquire beyond the academic content? How will obtaining the degree help you achieve your career goals?
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores for non-native English speakers (unless degree from English language university located in native English language country).
- Personal interview may be requested to make a decision on your application.
Transfer Options: The MSFE Program does not accept transfer credits from other universities.
