Admissions

All applicants for admission to the MAcc program must hold a bachelor’s degree, regardless of undergraduate major, from an accredited college or university. Applicants must also have acceptable scores on either the GMAT or GRE, consisting of scores at or above the 75th percentile.

  • Fox School of Business Undergraduate Accounting Majors

Fox School undergraduate accounting majors will be considered for acceptance in the program provided that they have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 or better at the completion of about 90 semester hours at time of application. Final acceptance is conditional on the successful completion of the Fox Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a major in Accounting and maintenance of a GPA acceptable to the Department of Accounting.

  • Fox School Undergraduate Non-Accounting Majors

Fox School non-accounting majors must also have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 or better at the completion of about 90 semester hours and the completion of the following undergraduate accounting courses (or equivalent) with a grade of B- or higher: Intermediate I (ACCT 3511); Intermediate II (ACCT 3512); Cost Accounting (ACCT 2521); Auditing (ACCT 3596) and Federal Taxes on Income (ACCT 3531). An overall GPA of 3.0 is required for the undergraduate accounting courses described above. Final acceptance is conditional on the successful completion of the Fox Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B A.).

  • All Other Applicants

All other applicants must have an undergraduate degree with an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 or better and the completion of the following prerequisite undergraduate accounting courses (or equivalent) with a grade of B- or higher: Financial Accounting; Intermediate I; Intermediate II; Cost Accounting; Auditing and Federal Taxes on Income. An overall GPA of 3.0 or better is required for the undergraduate accounting courses described above. Applicants who do not have the prerequisite accounting courses will not be considered for this program.
