About the Fox Part-Time MBA
How does the Fox Part-Time Professional MBA differ from other Fox MBA Programs?
The Fox Part-Time Professional MBA offers students two flexible program tracks from which to choose, traditional or accelerated. In this way, students can tailor their educational experience so that it best meets the demands of their schedules. This is in contrast to the other MBA programs at the Fox School, which require that students adhere to an established program timeline.

Is the Fox Part-Time Professional MBA program ranked and accredited?
The Fox Part-Time Professional MBA is an AACSB-accredited program and is the only part-time program in the region that is nationally ranked by U.S.News & World Report.
What is the profile of a typical Part-Time Professional MBA student?
The typical Fox Part-Time Professional MBA student is 30 years old with seven years of professional work experience.
What is the time commitment of the program?
The Fox Part-Time Professional MBA track gives students the flexibility to earn their MBA at their desired pace and is typically completed in three to four years, part-time. The Accelerated Part-Time MBA program is another option for students. This is completed in 20 to 24 months and allows students to take classes in the evening and on weekends at Temple University’s Center City, Fort Washington and Main campuses.
PMBA Academics
The Fox Part-Time Professional MBA is a 54-credit program that consists of core courses, advanced managerial perspective courses, concentration courses, business electives and the Enterprise Management Consulting practice. Students may opt to complete this program at their own pace – typically in three to four years – or they can enroll in the accelerated track,which is completed in 20 – 24 months and allows students to take classes in the evening and on weekends.

Does Fox offer a one-year, evening or distance-learning MBA?
The Fox School of Business offers several MBA programs that are tailored to accommodate the varied educational goals and schedules of its prospective students. These include a Full-Time MBA, Executive MBA, International MBA and an Online MBA.
PMBA Admissions
What is the application deadline?
The Fox School accepts applications for entrance into its Part-Time Professional MBA program in the spring and fall. A complete listing of application deadlines is available in the admissions portion of this website.
Full-time and part-time students may apply for transfer up to six credits of coursework.
What are the educational requirements for international students?
International applicants must have completed an undergraduate program that is comparable to the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor’s degree.
What are the minimum requirements to apply to Fox?

What are the two ways to submit a recommendation?
Recommendations can be submitted either electronically or via U.S. Postal Service. Students who wish to have a recommendation submitted electronically should send the reference’s e-mail address to the Office of Admissions. In turn, an electronic form will be sent to the reference to complete and return. References who prefer to send a hard copy should print and complete the recommendation form (provided as a pdf) and mail it in a sealed envelope to the Office of Admissions. Upon receipt, all recommendations become the property of Temple University.
Do I have to submit all of my application materials at once?
No, however students are encouraged to submit their online application. Once the application is submitted, applicants may send any remaining documents directly to the MBA Graduate Admissions Office.
When considering an applicant, the Fox School uses only the highest GMAT score obtained. It is important to note that the GMAT must be taken prior to the application deadline, however, scores will be accepted after the deadline provided it is within a reasonable timeframe.
GMAT scores are valid for five years after the test date and the TOEFL scores are valid for two years.
Yes, the GMAT can be waived if the student possesses a terminal degree such as a PhD, JD, MD, or DMD. In the case of international applicants, the terminal degree must be earned as a post-bachelor’s degree.
The TOEFL exam is required of all applicants who are not native speakers of English regardless of previous language instruction. Applicants who have an undergraduate degree conferred by a US university are exempt from the TOEFL requirement. However, applicants having only a graduate degree conferred by an American institution are not exempt.
The Fox School of Business requires that applicants possess a minimum of at least two years of professional work experience. Currently the average among graduate students is approximately five years. Graduate school is not considered work experience.
What kind of work experience do I need? If I come from a “non-traditional” background is that okay?
The more diverse the professional backgrounds are, the more students learn from one another. Therefore, there is no preference given to any one type of industry or company.

Can I speak to an admissions counselor/advisor/staff member?
General questions about programs or the application process should be directed to the Graduate Admissions office. To learn more about specific program offerings, please attend one of the Fox School’s information events. Individuals who have started the application process and have been assigned an admissions counselor should contact this person.

Do I need an application interview, or how do I arrange an interview?
Applicants to the Part-Time Professional MBA program may request an interview by contacting the Graduate Admissions Office.
What is the cost of the Part-Time Professional MBA program? Is financial aid available?
Tuition rates are determined on a year-by-year basis. For many MBA students federal and/or alternative loans serve as the primary source of funding. More information on funding and scholarships can be found in the admissions portion of this website.

Are credit cards accepted to pay my tuition payments?
Yes, credit cards are accepted for tuition payments. For more information on payment options please visit www.temple.edu/bursar/current/makingpayments.htm.
Is an entrance interview required for students who apply for financial aid?
Yes, entrance interviews are requires for students who apply for government or private loans. The purpose of this interview is to help students gain a better understanding for student loans and obtain general information on planning and managing personal finances. The entrance interview also explores the different types of student loans, regulations, repayment options and the consequences of default.
