Program Elements
Students in the Part-Time Professional MBA program at the Fox School of Business benefit from a well-rounded and in-depth academic program design. Each element fits into the program’s flexible part- time academic schedule and allows students to maintain their career while earning their MBA.
Part-Time Professional MBA students at the Fox School benefit from the following program elements:
- Core Curriculum – The Part-Time Professional MBA core curriculum includes business foundation courses, advanced managerial perspective courses and the capstone. In addition to the required core curriculum, MBA students choose five elective courses that align with their declared concentration.
- Cohort Structure – The Part-Time Professional MBA program is designed in an unofficial cohort structure to allow the faculty to coordinate content and course delivery. The unofficial cohort is a result of students following a suggested path of courses. Theeffect is greater integration and coordination of learning outcomes.
- Customized Concentration Courses – Along with their core curriculum, students customize their coursework with electives to create a program that meets their career needs. Concentrations are offered in:
- Accounting
- Business Management
- Financial Management
- Healthcare Life Sciences and Innovation
- Human Resource Management
- Information Technology Management
- Marketing Management
- Pharmaceutical Management
- Risk Management
- Strategic Management
- Speaker Series – This integrated professional development series exposes Part-Time Professional MBA students to a variety of topics that are presented by corporate panels and top-level speakers. The series is designed to provide MBA students with real-world application of the concepts they are learning.
Enterprise Management Consulting Practice (EMC) – The EMC Practice is a hands-on learning experience involving faculty and students. During the practicum, student teams assist firms or divisions with a live consulting project while integrating course work, business experience, and research into highly professional market entry strategies or business plans.
