Course Waiver & Transfer Credit
Course Waiver Policy
The Fox Online MBA program recognizes that potential MBA candidates may have recently completed an undergraduate program, graduate course work, or may hold professional designations that suggest a candidate has mastered the body of knowledge and skills acquired in an MBA course. The waiver policy allows students who meet tight criteria for specified courses to request a waiver for those courses. The Fox School may waive up to 9-credits of the courses listed below.
Courses Eligible for Waivers (all courses are 3-credits):
- Financial Accounting
- Financial Analysis & Strategy
- Industrial Organization in Business (Managerial or Micro-Economics)
- Marketing Management & Strategy
- Management Information Systems
- Operations Management
- Quantitative Methods for Business (Statistics)
Students who have earned and maintain a professional designation such as CPA®, CFA®, FRM®, etc. may request a waiver of courses in the functional areas associated with their designation, regardless of time from graduation.
Transfer Credit Policy
Students who have earned graduate credits toward a Master’s degree at an AACSB-accredited school of business within the last 5 years may request to transfer up to 9-credits. Students must have earned a B or better in the course or courses they request to transfer. Courses cannot be transferred if they were already applied toward a completed graduate degree or certificate.
