The Global MBA is a two-year program that combines experiential learning, paid internships, and deep immersion in the global business environment to produce business leaders who are prepared to succeed in tomorrow’s world. Our focus on innovation and entrepreneurship allows students to identify opportunities and creatively solve problems, whether they are interested in launching a new venture or in applying new tools and ideas to existing problems.
Fox MBAs travel to, and participate in, the most exciting and creative business communities in the world. We specialize in finding and working in emerging hotspots of social, economic, technological and organizational innovation and entrepreneurship. The program has two required international experiences. In the first semester of the program, students complete coursework in Business Economics, Accounting, Strategy, and Marketing. Students then travel to either India or China, for two to three weeks; both dynamic countries where entrepreneurs and innovators thrive. Students will apply their academic experience in company visits, executive networking, and interaction with the people and places of their chosen destinations to build a strong global business network and a firsthand understanding of how the global economy works.
The trips are led by highly qualified faculty with deep knowledge and experience in the local business environment. Students then return to the Fox School for the spring semester, where they complete coursework in Finance, Operations, Management Information Systems, and Human Resources before beginning an internship over the summer break.
In the second year of the program, students complete their remaining required courses, electives, and the capstone live consulting project. Students travel for two to three weeks to complete the second international travel experience in the spring semester.
The Enterprise Management Consulting Practicum provides you with the opportunity to engage a live consulting project under the mentorship of a seasoned, professional project manager. You will experience the “power of you” as you engage the professional development and career services provided by the Center for Student Professional Development.
You will have the opportunity to develop deep knowledge in a functional or industry specialty through ample opportunity to take electives. You can take a traditional MBA concentration or with a few extra courses earn dual MBA and specialized masters degrees.
