As the Academic Director of the Fox School’s EMBA program since 2000, Howard Weiss has a true insider’s view of the program and its students.

A member of the Fox School faculty since 1976, Dr. Weiss is the developer of Production and Operations Management – Quantitative Methods (POM-QM) for Windows and Excel Operations Management/Quantitative Methods (OM/QM), the most widely used educational software packages in operations management and quantitative methods. His research has focused on inventory, scheduling, waiting lines and sports and he has been published in several journals, including Operations Research, Management Science, Naval Research Logistics and Interfaces. He has also co-authored two textbooks – Introduction to Mathematical Programming and Production and Operations Management.
Dr. Weiss earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington University and his master’s and doctoral degrees from Northwestern University.
