Fox Honors Staff Present at National Conference

Chuck Allen (Administrative Director) and Lori Roseman (Assistant Director) presented at the National Academic Advising Association’s National Conference, October 4-7, in Las Vegas. Their presentation focused on utilizing humor, as a tool, in day to day advising interactions with students. The session, presented with staff members from the University Honors office, had more than 190 attendees from across the country.

Fox Honors Professors Katie Gerst, Jimmy Miller present at Association for Business Communication International Conference

Katie Gerst, MBA, and Dr. Jimmy Miller, both instructors for Honors Business Communications, presented a session, titled “Integrating Assessment into a Business Communications Course,” on October 29th at the Association for Business Communication’s 80th Annual International Conference in Seattle, WA. Their presentation discussed best practices for integrating assessment into a business communication course and how those assessments can be used to measure impact later in the curriculum.

Fall 2015 Freshman Class Raises the Bar…Again!

This fall, the program welcomed 50 new freshmen. Amazingly both our SAT and high school GPA average were all-time highs for the program. In addition to recruiting incredibly talented students from Pennsylvania, we also welcomed students from New Jersey, Florida, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, Tennessee, and New York! In addition, we will have a cohort of students joining us from Vietnam and Korea. We thrilled to now be able to work with the Class of 2019 toward the attainment of their academic, personal, and professional goals!

Fox Honors Program Celebrates 2014-2015 Graduates

Congrats to all of our May 2015 graduates! They joined close to 100 seniors who graduated over the last year with distinction for completing their honors program requirements. The list of companies that employed our outstanding graduates includes Walmart, Lincoln Financial Group, KPMG, TD Bank, Lockheed Martin, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Aon, Franklin Templeton Investments, Ernst & Young, Comcast Corporation, PNC, Blackrock, Deloitte, and Cigna.
