Statistics Challenge Competition
2nd Annual High School Statistics Challenge Competition
Thursday, April 27, 2017
9:00am – 3:00pm
Room 200, Howard Gittis Student Center South, Temple University
The competition will test fundamental mathematical and statistical skills, and challenge students to work together in teams to solve mathematical problems. Solutions to problems will be presented and discussed at the end of the competition. Graphing Calculators are permitted! The topics are based off of the AP Statistics Curriculum Exam, and a recommended study guide would be the Barron’s AP Statistics Review.
We invite your school to participate by registering with UP TO 2 TEAMS! Each team should consist of no more than four students. Teams should me a mix of juniors and seniors.
Schedule of Competition: The competition will be held from 9 am to 3 pm. Details of the schedule and format of the competition will follow.
The Fox School of Business Dean’s Office will be offering a $2,000 scholarship to participants in the competition who apply to Temple in the Bachelors of Science in Statistical Science and Data Analytics.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams!
