E-Portfolios: A Professional Development Platform

MIS E-PortfoliosEvery student in Management Information Systems (MIS) Professor Laurel Miller’s Professional Development Strategies course builds an e-portfolio that they maintain throughout their academic career. It is a unique opportunity to create a digital identity that is completely under their control. The system, developed by the Fox MIS Department and host over 1000 e-portfolios, encourages social interaction. Students use the search feature to network with others with similar interests. Employers use the system to quickly identify prospects for jobs and internships.
