At Fox, we're proud to have a home that matches our growing reputation. Alter Hall is more than a collection of classrooms and offices: it's a bridge to the future of global business.
Welcome to a New Era of Learning!
Far more than simply four walls and a roof, this new building dramatically launches the Fox School into the future. For the first time, the school has a home that matches its growing national and international reputation. It is the final piece of a grand puzzle that already includes world-class faculty, cutting-edge research, prestigious rankings, the latest technology and bright, ambitious students.
From the 7th floor of Alter Hall you get a stunning view of the world around you. The glittering skyscrapers of Center City. The majestic bridges that span the Delaware River. The vibrant, culturally rich neighborhoods that make up our city.
From this vantage point, you can see how each connects seamlessly to the other. It’s this same seamless connectivity that is found throughout Alter Hall.
When plans were first drafted for this $80 million, state-of-the-art facility, the consensus was that it should be more than simply a space for classrooms and offices. It should be a place where students, faculty and alumni could connect and collaborate. Every design element, every piece of technology, every decision regarding this building — all were made with these two themes in mind.
Through the generosity of many, many people, this building is now a reality. Numerous donors chose to support this endeavor especially Dennis and Gisela Alter with their $15 million naming gift. You have given the Fox School a new home and, in the process, have helped to expand the educational opportunities available to our current and future students.
The modern, 21st-century facility you see today is so much more than a shell containing classrooms and offices. Alter Hall is a bridge to the future for thousands of current students and the many more who will follow.
Welcome to the future of the Fox School of Business.
