Named Spaces

The Fox School of Business would like to highlight the following individuals and firms for their recent commitments to fund named spaces in Alter Hall.

William Avery

In recognition of his generous gift of $50,000, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute’s Executive in Residence Room will be named in honor of William Avery, the former CEO of Crown Cork and Seal.  A long-time supporter of the University, Bill is a member of the Fox School’s Board of Visitors and a recipient of the School’s Musser Award for Excellence.

Fred Blume, FSBM ‘63, and Blank Rome LLP

Thanks to a generous gift of $50,000 from Blank Rome, LLP and its chairman emeritus Fred Blume, the Office of the Chair of the Department of Legal Studies will be named in honor of Blank Rome, LLP. Fred is a distinguished member of The Board of Visitors for The Fox School of Business and has been instrumental in his leadership and support on behalf of The Fox School.

Raza Bokhari, FSBM ‘01

In November 2006, Dr. Raza Bokhari made a gift of $1,000,000 to name the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute Suite. A successful entrepreneur, Raza made his gift in recognition of the School’s role in his business success. His commitment to the Campaign for Alter Hall will ensure that tomorrow’s Fox educated entrepreneurs will have access to the resources they need to succeed in the world of business.

Robert A. Fox

In yet one more example of his family’s deep commitment to the Fox School of Business, Robert A. Fox has made a gift of $1,000,000 in honor of his father, Fred Fox. The Dean’s Conference Room in Alter Hall will be named for the late Mr. Fox. The chairman and chief executive officer of RAF Industries, Bob Fox is a frequent speaker at Fox School events.

Goldenberg Rosenthal LLP

Barry Braun, Managing Partner of Goldenberg Rosenthal LLP, is commemorating the firm’s 50 th Anniversary with a gift of $50,000 to name the Office of the Chair of the Department of Accounting. Also a member of The Board of Visitors for the Fox School, Barry is a longtime supporter of The Fox School and has hired numerous Fox graduates over the years to work for Goldenberg Rosenthal.

William Hipple, FSBM ‘50

A long-time supporter of the School, Bill Hipple has made a gift of $100,000 to fund the one of the tiered undergraduate case study rooms in Alter Hall.  Bill’s gift represents his commitment to the education of Fox School undergraduate students.

Margaret McGoldrick, FSBM ‘74

Meg McGoldrick, the Executive Vice President of Abington Hospital, has made a gift of $25,000 to fund a Ph.D. Seminar Room in Alter Hall. An active alumni volunteer, Meg is a member of the Fox School’s Board of Visitors.

Frank Scardino, FSBM ‘03

Entrepreneur Frank Scardino has made a $50,000 commitment to name the Center for Student Professional Development Recruiter Lounge. A member of the School’s Board of Visitors and recipient of the Alumni Award for Excellence at the 2006 Musser Dinner, Frank is a long-time supporter of the Fox School of Business.

Zeev Shenkman, FSBM ‘77

With over twenty years of experience in banking, financial and retail operations, Zeev is highly involved in the development of organizations. His gift of $25,000 to name a Ph.D. Seminar Room is in keeping with that professional focus and will support the School’s own development and growth.

Murray Shusterman, L ‘36

A stalwart of the University for decades, Murray Shusterman has made a gift of $100,000 to name one of the tiered undergraduate case study rooms. An honorary life trustee of the University, Murray’s support of Temple and the Fox School will have a listing impact on the lives of innumerable Temple students.

Stanley Wang, ED ‘72

Stanley contributed $250,000 to name the MBA Business Center in Alter Hall. The President, CEO, and Founder of Pantronix, he is committed to supporting the work of MBA candidates at the Fox School.

William Wei

A long-serving professor of statistics at the Fox School, Bill Wei decided to support the Campaign for Alter Hall in a way that is near and dear to his heart: he has made a $100,000 gift to name the Statistics Reading Room. His generosity has inspired other members of the Fox School faculty to support this critical building project.

Alumni Board Sets Goal of $250,000 to Name Alumni Lounge

Under the leadership of Alumni Board President Bret Perkins, FSBM ’91 and vice president of government affairs for Comcast, the Fox School of Business Alumni Board has embarked on an ambitious campaign to raise $250,000 over the next five years to name a premier space in Alter Hall as the new Alumni Lounge. Be sure to look for updates on their progress toward this goal.
